Folklore ensemble “Pulkelis” (II category)

Folklore ensemble founded in 2000 by Vytautas and Regina Zigmantai “Pulkelis” represents the ethnographic region of Aukštaitija. The ensemble prides itself on its authenticity: from the cheerful dances and beer songs of the Panevėžys region, to Lithuanian partisan songs, instrumental music, and the archaic sutartinės, a jewel of world heritage.

The ensemble performs about 15 performances every year, participates in various international and regional festivals in Lithuania and abroad. Every collective voice counts: join us and let’s build traditions together!

Team leader:

Ethnomusicologist Alpas Mulevičius has been leading the folklore ensemble since 2023, preparing it for song festivals, folklore festivals and other celebrations.
