1980 m. Linas is one of the longest-lasting folk dance groups of Panevėžys seniors, famous for its dance skills and loyalty to national traditions. The group has represented Lithuania at international festivals, is a participant of the World Lithuanian Song Festivals and a true veteran of the stage. “Linas is a community where dance is a way of life and each member creates a story that has been going on for almost half a century. Zita Rimkuvienė, Lithuanian cultural icon, choreographer, ballet teacher. She was a member of the children’s and youth dance ensemble “Grandinėlė” (1978) and the dance collective “Linas” (1980 Founder of the “Linas” and “Linas” (1980), which she still directs today.
2012 m. Panevėžys City Municipality nominee “Panevėžys Citizen of the Year” for her merits in the field of culture and art
In 2022, she was awarded the Gabrielė Petkevičaitė-Bitė Memorial Medal of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania “Serve Lithuania”.
