Panevėžys Cultural Centre is a multidisciplinary cultural institution that develops and implements a wide range of cultural, artistic and community activities. Traditions and contemporary creativity merge here, and culture becomes a living experience for every resident and visitor.
The activities of the Centre are focused on creating high quality events, engaging the community and strengthening cultural life in Panevėžys and the whole Aukštaitija region.
Main lines of action:
Organisation of city festivals and events
We organise the most important national, calendar and city festivals and major events, such as the birthday of Panevėžys, Užgavėnės, Midsummer Festival, Christmas tree lighting and the summer festival “Let’s Meet on Friday”. These events bring the community together, strengthen the city’s identity and create unique experiences.
Implementing cultural and artistic events
We organise various types of cultural projects: concerts, performances, festivals, exhibitions, educational activities and entertainment events. Our stages host both professional artists and amateur collectives, presenting a wide range of art forms, from classical to contemporary.
Fostering amateur art and employment
The Centre has 18 amateur art collectives, studios and clubs uniting around 400 Panevėžys residents. They actively participate in city, regional and national cultural projects, Lithuanian Song Festivals and other significant events, contributing to the city’s vibrant and growing culture.
Coordination of art groups
We coordinate and strengthen the activities of amateur art groups, create conditions for their creative growth, promote self-expression and continuity of cultural traditions.
Educational and community activities
We organise educational activities, workshops and initiatives that promote cultural awareness, creativity and community engagement. We want everyone to discover their place in culture.
Project and programme implementation
We develop and implement a wide range of cultural, artistic and social projects for different audiences. We also run programmes to promote community employment and creative self-expression.
Cooperation and partnerships
We actively collaborate with cultural and educational institutions, art collectives, creators and organisations in Lithuania and abroad to develop cultural dialogue and share best practices.
Space rental and technical support
We offer modern spaces for a wide range of events – concerts, performances, conferences, exhibitions and private parties. We provide professional technical support and smooth implementation of events.
