The Panevėžys Cultural Center is hosting an exhibition of works from the “Reflections” watercolor plein air event, dedicated to the memory of artist and educator Algirdas Lukštas (1921–1992). The exhibition features works by 14 artists, showcasing the subtlety of the watercolor technique, the lightness of the colors, and the distinct styles of the artists.
Since 2021, an open-air painting event held in Skrebotiškis, in the Pasvalys region, has been bringing together professional watercolorists, including former students and colleagues of A. Lukštas. This tradition began to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the artist’s birth and continues to this day, honoring his creative legacy.
At the exhibition opening on November 4, visitors had the opportunity not only to view the artists’ works but also to learn more about the watercolor technique, its possibilities, and the creative process.
Exhibitors: Aušra Andziulytė, Lolita Braza, Laima Drazdauskaitė, Rita Kišonienė, Vilija Kinderavičiūtė, Violeta Latvytė, Neringa Marcinkevičiūtė-Strazdė, Raimundas Majauskas, Kristina Mekienė, Marija Rastenienė, Onutė Šližienė, Saulė Urbonavičiūtė, Jolanta Žalalienė, Violeta Židonytė.
