One of the most anticipated events of the summer – the festival “Let’s meet on Friday” – starts on 29 May in Panevėžys. Over the years, it has become an inseparable summer tradition in the city, bringing together residents and visitors for open-air evenings full of music, culture, meetings and the lively rhythm of the city.

Every Friday throughout the summer, the central spaces of Panevėžys will be filled with concerts, art, cinema, education, family activities and unexpected experiences. The city invites you not to rush, but to stop, meet, spend time together and rediscover Panevėžys.

On the opening evening of “Let’s meet on Friday”, activities will take place in Laisvės Square, the courtyard of the Art Gallery and in Senvagė. From lunchtime piano music to cinema under the stars, the city centre will be transformed into a large summer stage for one evening. This series of events has already become a lively summer tradition in Panevėžys. It is a time when the city’s public spaces are filled with people, music, conversations and life. We invite Panevėžys residents and visitors to spend summer Fridays together in the city centre, where new experiences await you every week,” says Judita Kačinskaitė, Director of the Culture Centre.

The event programme includes a variety of activities for different interests and age groups. During lunch, piano music will be played on Laisvės Square, in the evening the Lithuanian Armed Forces Orchestra will perform in the courtyard of the Art Gallery, and the Senvage Amphitheatre will host brass band music, live concerts, an electronic music performance and an open-air cinema.
