The end of the year has its own unique rhythm. Some are already counting down the days until Christmas, others are making plans for the New Year, and the little ones are eagerly awaiting the magic of the holidays. The Panevėžys Cultural Center is marking this season with a program of events that has something for everyone—from families with children to lovers of live music, theater, and dance.

We invite you to a warm and cheerful Christmas play, “The Happy Hump”—a story about friendship, kindness, and the desire to help others.

From September 11 to 13, Panevėžys will celebrate its 523rd birthday. For three days, the city center will come alive with music, art, theater, technology, sports, family entertainment, a festive fair, and one of the most anticipated birthday traditions—the city parade.

While work is already underway in the main hall, the dressing rooms, and other areas, preparations are being made for another major phase—the renovation of the entire building.

The beginning of July marks a busy period for the dance groups at the Panevėžys Cultural Center. In the course of a single week, they will participate in two major Lithuanian cultural events—the Lithuanian Schoolchildren’s Song Festival and the 17th North American Lithuanian Folk Dance Festival.

One of the most anticipated events of the summer - the festival "Let's meet on Friday" - starts on 29 May in Panevėžys. Over the years, it has become an inseparable summer tradition in the city, bringing together residents and visitors for open-air evenings full of music, culture, meetings and the lively rhythm of the city.

In February and March this year, the Panevėžys Cultural Centre invited the citizens of Panevėžys to a marathon of celebrations. Over the course of a few weeks, Panevėžys hosted a series of events that intertwined Lithuanian traditions, the most important dates in the country's history and contemporary stage projects.
