Folk dance is not just about beautiful steps and colorful traditional costumes. It is a living tradition passed down from generation to generation, and a joy that knows no age limits.
The national folk dance festival “Trepsis,” to be held at the Panevėžys Cultural Center, will bring together nine dance groups from various cities and towns across Lithuania. Dancing couples will take the stage, Lithuanian melodies will fill the air, and the audience can look forward to a lively folk dance program.
Participants in the festival include:
“Ainiai” (Vilnius)
“Dobilas” (Šiauliai District)
“Lankesa” (Kėdainiai)
“Patrepsėlis” (Kelmė)
“Patrepsėlis” (Radviliškis)
“Vijūras” (Šakiai)
“Susiedai” (Kupiškis)
“Laja” (Pakruojis)
“Gija” (Panevėžys)
We invite you to a festival full of dancing, smiles, and Lithuanian traditions!
